rainbow chocolate cake

I woke up from a nap yesterday to find this beautiful creation. The boys had been busy (well Sam is still sick and was crashed out on the couch). It was Elijah's idea to make a rainbow cake. He loved mixing the frosting colors (he has a lot of practice from making pancakes) and then frosting the cake with a little help from daddy. Of course frosting ended up everywhere including inside Elijah's mouth and on his face as well as on the carpet. Hey, if you're going to be creative there is bound to be a mess!
